Good sensor array
Works well but requires some tuning of the potentiometers to get the right sensitivity for dark surfaces.
Q: How do I adjust the detection sensitivity?
A: There are blue potentiometers on the PCB. Turn them clockwise to increase sensitivity and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Q: Will sunlight interfere with the infrared sensors?
A: Yes, strong direct sunlight can affect IR sensors. We recommend using this module indoors or in shaded areas for best results.
Q: What is the maximum voltage this module can handle?
A: The module operates between 3.3V and 5V DC. We recommend using 5V for stable performance with most microcontrollers.
Q: Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, it is compatible. Ensure you use the 3.3V logic level or a level shifter if powering at 5V to protect the Pi.
Q: What are the pin assignments for the connector?
A: The 5-pin interface typically includes VCC, GND, and three output signals. Please refer to the silkscreen on the PCB for specific ordering.
