Fun ukulele-guitar hybrid
As a guitarist, I wanted something portable to keep at the office. This is tuned like a guitar but sized like a large ukulele. It's incredibly fun to play and the tone is warm.

Solid construction
Very sturdy little guitar. My son has dropped it a few times (accidentally!) and there isn't a scratch on it. The only reason for 4 stars is that the included strings could be better quality.

Best entry-level instrument
Bought this for myself to learn on since full-size guitars were too cumbersome for my apartment. The nylon strings are gentle on fingers, and the size makes chord shapes easier to reach.

Exceeded expectations

Perfect for travel and small hands
I bought this for my 7-year-old daughter, and it fits her perfectly. The sound is surprisingly rich for such a small instrument. We also take it camping because it fits easily in the car.

Great quality, needs setup
Typical Yamaha build quality is excellent. However, the action was a bit high out of the box. After a quick professional setup, it plays like a dream. Highly recommended for beginners.
