Solid choice for students and pros

Bought this for my advanced student who wanted to start performing live. The projection is good acoustically, and plugged in it cuts through the mix nicely. Very comfortable neck profile.

Beautiful aesthetics and sound

The wood grain on the rosewood laminate looks stunning under stage lights. But more importantly, the sustain is impressive for a guitar in this price range. I am thoroughly impressed with Martinez.

My new daily player

I use this for both practice at home and recording sessions. The electronics are surprisingly clean and don't sound too quacky like some cheaper piezos. The ebony fingerboard feels smooth and fast.

Perfect transition from acoustic to electric

I needed a classical guitar that could handle small venue gigs without feedback issues. The Martinez crossover is fantastic. The narrower nut width feels great coming from a steel-string background, and the onboard EQ is very intuitive.

Excellent build quality

No sharp fret ends, perfect action right out of the box, and the finish is flawless. The cutaway allows easy access to the upper frets which is essential for my jazz repertoire. Highly recommended.

Great tone for the price

The solid spruce top really opens up after a few weeks of playing. It sounds warm and balanced. I deducted one star because the factory strings were a bit stiff, but swapping them out solved that immediately.

Q: Is the nut width adjustable if I find it too narrow?

A: The nut width is fixed at 48mm as part of the crossover design. If you require a wider traditional classical neck (52mm), you might want to look at our standard classical series instead.

Q: Can I use steel strings on this crossover guitar?

A: No, please do not use steel strings. This guitar is designed specifically for nylon strings. Using steel strings can damage the bridge and warp the neck due to higher tension.

Q: What type of battery does the preamp require?

A: The built-in EQ system runs on a standard 9V battery. Battery life is generally long, but we recommend unplugging the cable when not in use to preserve power.

Q: Does this guitar come with a gig bag or hard case?
