Excellent luthier materials
As a professional luthier, I am very picky about my wood. This kit exceeded my expectations. The moisture content was perfect, and the grain matching on the back set was impressive.

Perfect grain for my next classical build
The rosewood sheets arrived beautifully quarter-sawn with consistent color. No cracks or defects found. These are ready to go for my upcoming classical guitar project.

Beautiful rosewood figures
The figure on the rosewood back sheets is absolutely gorgeous. It will make for a stunning instrument. Packaging was secure to prevent any damage during shipping.

Great quality mahogany
The mahogany top sheet is stunning. I deducted one star only because the sapele side sheets were slightly thinner than expected, but still usable with careful planning.

Good value for the variety
Getting three different wood types in one order is convenient. The sapele is very straight-grained. Just be prepared to do some jointing on the edges before gluing.

Highly recommended for beginners and pros
I am building my first classical guitar and these sheets made the material selection process easy. The wood is high quality and the descriptions were accurate.
Q: Is the rosewood CITES compliant?
A: Yes, all our rosewood is sourced from sustainable forests and comes with the necessary documentation to ensure compliance with CITES regulations for international and domestic trade.
Q: Are these wood sheets pre-cut to specific guitar dimensions?
A: No, these are sold as large sheets to allow luthiers to cut them according to their specific patterns and guitar models. You will need to size them yourself.
Q: What is the approximate size of each sheet?
A: The top sheets are typically around 20 inches by 28 inches, while the back and side sheets vary slightly but generally provide enough material for a full-size classical guitar.
Q: Can I use these woods for electric guitar bodies as well?
A: While these sheets are optimized for classical acoustic guitars (tops, backs, and sides), the mahogany and sapele can certainly be used for electric guitar bodies if laminated or thickened appropriately.
Q: Do you offer bulk discounts for purchasing multiple sets?
A: Yes, we offer tiered pricing for bulk orders. Please contact our sales team directly through the 'Contact Us' page for a custom quote on larger quantities.
