Standard industrial grade quality
Exactly what was described. The PTFE layer is consistent, and the bronze backing provides good structural integrity. No issues during installation or operation so far.

Good quality, slightly tight tolerance
The material quality seems excellent and very durable. The inner diameter was just a hair tight for our 24mm shaft, requiring some light reaming, but once installed, performance is great.

Excellent for high-cycle applications
We replaced standard bronze bushings with these SF1 composites in our packaging machine chains. The noise reduction is significant, and we no longer have to stop production for greasing.
Q: What is the recommended shaft tolerance for a 24mm ID?
A: For optimal performance, we recommend a shaft tolerance of e7 or f7 to ensure proper clearance for the self-lubricating layer to function correctly.
Q: Is the 30mm length exact or is there a tolerance?
A: There is a standard manufacturing tolerance of ±0.1mm on the length. If you require tighter tolerances, please contact us for custom machining options.
Q: Do I need to grease these before installation?
A: No, these are self-lubricating bearings. Adding external grease can actually attract dust and debris, potentially reducing their lifespan in dirty environments.
Q: Can these bearings be used in submerged water applications?
A: While they are water-resistant and suitable for wet environments, continuous submersion is not recommended as it may affect the long-term retention of the impregnated lubricant.
Q: Are these compatible with stainless steel shafts?
A: Yes, SF1 composite bearings work excellently with stainless steel shafts, providing low friction and preventing galling even under oscillating motion.
