Good quality for beginners

The brushes are surprisingly good for the price point. The ink stick takes some effort to grind, but that's part of the traditional experience. Would recommend buying extra paper as you will go through it quickly while practicing.

Perfect starter kit for my daughter

My daughter wanted to try calligraphy, and this set had everything she needed. The brushes are soft yet hold their shape well, and the inkstone is a nice heavy ceramic. Great value for the price.

Beautiful packaging and contents

Great gift idea

Bought this for my nephew who is interested in Asian art. He loves it. The only reason for 4 stars is that the inkstone is slightly smaller than I expected, but it works perfectly fine.

Soft bristles are fantastic

Excellent introduction to the Four Treasures
