Good quality but packaging could be better

The shafts themselves are great precision ground. One arrived with a very minor dent in the box, but the shaft was unaffected.

Smooth surface finish

Minor scratch on one end

Overall decent steel, but one of the shafts had a scratch near the end. Usable for my project since I cut it, but worth noting.

Perfect for my 3D printer upgrade

These shafts are incredibly smooth and fit my LM8UU bearings with zero binding. The chrome plating looks uniform and high quality.

Q: Is the chrome plating resistant to rust?

A: The hard chrome plating provides excellent corrosion resistance, but we recommend keeping them oiled during storage.

Q: Will this work with standard LM8UU linear bearings?

A: Yes, our 8mm shafts are manufactured to g6 tolerance which is compatible with standard LM8UU bearings.

Q: Can I order these in custom lengths?

A: We currently stock standard lengths up to 1000mm. Custom cutting services are not available at this time.

Q: What is the exact hardness value?

A: The shafts are induction hardened to between HRC 58 and 62 for durability and wear resistance.

Q: How are these shipped to prevent bending?

A: Shafts over 500mm are shipped in reinforced tubing to ensure they remain straight during transit.
