Great beginner instrument
As a total novice, I wanted something affordable to try out. Since it doesn't have a membrane, it's much easier to get a sound out of immediately. The tone is soft and pleasant, though not as loud as professional flutes.

Solid choice for students

Beautiful aesthetic prop
The craftsmanship is lovely. Even if you aren't playing it seriously, it makes a stunning decoration or prop. The 'Sha Po Lang' style gives it a very unique, ancient look that stands out in pictures.

Exceeded expectations
I was worried it might feel cheap or plastic-like, but it's real bamboo with a nice weight to it. The white paint job is even and hasn't chipped yet. My kids love pretending to play it.

Good for props, limited for music
It looks great and feels nice in hand. However, serious musicians might find the range limited due to its short length and lack of membrane. For the price and intended use as a prop or starter toy, it's fine.
