Sturdy but heavy
This thing is built like a tank, which is good for safety but means you need two people to install it comfortably if you are also holding the speaker. Once up, though, it doesn't move an inch.

Rock solid installation for our studio
We installed four of these in our recording booth to hang heavy monitor speakers. The adjustable center of gravity feature made leveling them incredibly easy, even with uneven cable weight. The reinforced design feels extremely safe and secure.

Great mount, instructions could be clearer
The hardware itself is fantastic and holds my large PA speaker without any sway. I deducted one star because the manual was a bit vague on the specific torque settings for the gravity lock, but once figured out, it works perfectly.

Perfect for high ceilings

A: Once the locking mechanism is loosened, the bracket allows for up to 45 degrees of tilt in any direction to help you aim the speaker precisely before tightening the center of gravity lock.
Q: What is the maximum diameter of the threaded rod this can accept?
A: The bracket is designed to accommodate standard 3/8-inch and M10 threaded rods, which are the most common sizes for professional audio suspension.
Q: Is there a safety cable attachment point included?
A: Absolutely. The reinforced design includes a dedicated secondary loop for attaching a safety cable, adhering to strict industry safety standards for overhead rigging.
Q: Does this mount come with the threaded rod, or is that sold separately?
A: The MDX50 includes the mounting bracket and all necessary hardware to attach to a standard threaded rod, but the rod itself is sold separately to allow for custom ceiling heights.
Q: Can this be used outdoors under a covered patio?
