Solid workhorse
I use this for campfire sing-alongs and small gigs. It stays in tune remarkably well and the build quality is excellent. The satin finish on the neck feels great under the hand.

Unbeatable value
You really cannot beat the quality-to-price ratio here. It has that classic Martin look and feel. The HPL back and sides are durable and look fantastic with the Brazilian rosewood pattern.

Beautiful aesthetics
The wood grain pattern on the back looks stunning. It sounds crisp and clear, perfect for strumming chords or picking melodies. Very happy with this purchase from the Martin lineup.

Lovely resonance
Despite being a smaller body shape, this guitar projects well. The solid top really makes a difference in how the instrument opens up over time. Highly recommended for beginners and intermediates alike.

Perfect travel companion
I needed a guitar that could withstand humidity changes while traveling, and this Martin DX series is perfect. The solid spruce top gives it a surprisingly warm tone for the price point, and the cutaway makes accessing higher frets easy.

Great sound, comfortable neck
The neck profile is very comfortable for fingerstyle playing. The electronics are simple but effective for plugging into an amp. My only minor complaint is that the strings it came with felt a bit stiff, but I replaced them easily.
Q: Does this guitar come with a hard case or a gig bag?
A: This model typically ships without a case. We recommend purchasing a compatible soft gig bag or hard case separately to protect your instrument during transport.
Q: Is this guitar suitable for left-handed players?
A: This specific model is configured for right-handed players. We do offer left-handed versions of the DX series, but you would need to check our current inventory for specific availability.
Q: What type of battery does the Fishman Sonitone system use?
A: The Fishman Sonitone pickup system uses a standard 9V battery, which is accessible via a compartment inside the soundhole.
Q: Can I change the strings to heavier gauge ones?
A: Yes, you can use light to medium gauge strings. However, we recommend sticking to light gauge (.012-.053) to maintain optimal neck relief and playability as designed by the factory.
Q: Is the top wood truly solid spruce or is it laminated?
A: The top is made of genuine Solid Sitka Spruce, which contributes to better resonance and tonal complexity compared to fully laminated tops.
