Beautiful craftsmanship
As a collector of Chinese instruments, I am impressed by the red sandalwood quality. It took a few days to settle the strings, but now it sounds wonderful.

Exceeded expectations
The resonance of the red sandalwood is amazing. It produces a very clear high register which is essential for the Zhuihu repertoire.

Great value for performance grade
I bought this for my university ensemble. The build quality exceeds the price point. The bow hair is high quality and holds rosin well.

Solid instrument with minor setup needed
The instrument itself is fantastic. I had to adjust the bridge slightly to get the action just right for my playing style, but otherwise, it is ready to play.

Authentic Shandong Sound
This Da Leiqin has that authentic rough and powerful sound needed for Shandong folk music. The projection is excellent even in large halls.

Perfect for Lvju Performance
The tone is incredibly bright and cuts through the orchestra perfectly. The ebony scroll adds a nice weight and aesthetic touch. Highly recommended for professional players.
Q: What is the difference between this and a standard Erhu?
A: The Zhuiqin (or Zhuihu) typically has a slightly different body shape and is tuned specifically for Shandong Bangzi and Lvju opera, producing a brighter, more nasal tone compared to the mellower Erhu.
Q: Is the wood treated to prevent cracking in dry climates?
A: The Red Sandalwood is seasoned and lacquered to resist humidity changes, but we always recommend using a humidifier if you live in an extremely dry environment.
Q: Can beginners use this model?
A: While this is a performance-grade instrument, a dedicated beginner can certainly use it. However, the string tension and tone sensitivity might require more precise control than student models.
Q: Does this come with a hard case for travel?
A: Yes, this performance-grade Zhuiqin includes a sturdy hard case designed to protect the instrument during transport.
Q: How long is the warranty period?
A: We provide a one-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the wood and hardware. Normal wear and tear on strings or bow hair are not covered.
