Great quality, lovely design

I bought this for practicing Chinese painting. The semi-sized nature gives good control over ink flow. The lotus pattern adds a nice touch to finished pieces. Would recommend.

A: Our Xuan paper is made from high-quality fibers intended to age gracefully. While natural aging may occur over many years like any organic paper, it is acid-free and resistant to rapid yellowing under normal storage conditions.

Q: What is the exact weight or GSM of this paper?

A: While we do not list a specific GSM number as traditional Xuan paper varies by batch, this paper is comparable to standard medium-weight creation paper, offering durability without being too thick for folding.

Q: Is this suitable for watercolor painting as well?

A: Yes, the semi-sized nature and micro-spray coating make it suitable for light watercolor washes and traditional Chinese painting (Gongbi). However, for heavy wet-on-wet watercolor techniques, a heavier dedicated watercolor paper might be preferable.
