Perfect weight for my Gongfu tea set

Elegant coaster alternative

Beautiful but needs slight sanding
The wood quality is top-notch and the color is rich. One corner was slightly rough, but a quick pass with fine sandpaper fixed it immediately. Great value.

Ideal for custom seal carving
As someone who carves traditional seals, this base is perfect. The ebony is hard enough to hold detail but workable. Highly recommend for hobbyists.
Q: How should I clean this if it gets dusty or stained?
A: Simply wipe with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water, wipe gently, and dry immediately. Do not soak the wood.
Q: Can this withstand hot teapots directly placed on it?
A: Yes, solid ebony has excellent heat resistance. However, we recommend ensuring the bottom of your teapot is dry to prevent any potential water spotting over time.
Q: What are the exact dimensions? I need it for a specific display case.
A: The dimensions are precisely 8cm in length, 8cm in width, and 2cm in height. Please allow a margin of +/- 1mm due to the hand-carved nature of the product.
Q: Is this base treated with any chemicals or varnish?
A: No, our Purple Ebony bases are finished only with natural beeswax and hand-polishing to maintain the wood's integrity and safety for food-adjacent uses like tea sets.
Q: Does the wood have a strong scent?
A: Purple Ebony has a very mild, pleasant woody aroma when new, which fades quickly. It is not overpowering and will not interfere with the scent of your tea or incense.
