Perfect for my art students
I bought this set for my high school art class. The nylon hair holds water surprisingly well and the tips stay sharp even after multiple washes. Great value for the price.

Good quality, slight shedding at first
Overall excellent brushes for acrylics and watercolors. There was a tiny bit of shedding on the first use, but it stopped immediately after rinsing. The flat brushes are my favorite.

Best starter set
Bought this for my daughter who is just getting into watercolor painting. She loves how easy they are to clean and how smoothly the paint applies. Will definitely buy again.

Great variety in sizes
The set includes a good range of sizes from very fine liners to large flats. The handles are comfortable to hold for long sessions. One brush arrived slightly bent, but customer service fixed it quickly.

Soft and responsive
These brushes have a wonderful snap to them. They are soft enough for delicate washes but firm enough for fine line work. Highly recommend for beginners.

Excellent alternative to sable
As someone who paints daily, I was skeptical about synthetic brushes. These Marie's brushes perform almost as well as my expensive sable ones but at a fraction of the cost.

A: The handles are short-style, measuring approximately 7 inches (18 cm) in length, which is ideal for detailed work and tabletop painting.
Q: Do the handles come pre-varnished?
A: Yes, all handles in the Marie's Watercolor Brush Set are pre-varnished to protect the wood from moisture and provide a smooth, comfortable grip.
Q: Can I use these brushes with alcohol markers?
A: We do not recommend using these watercolor brushes with alcohol markers. Alcohol-based inks can damage the synthetic nylon fibers and dissolve the adhesive in the ferrule over time.
Q: Are these brushes suitable for oil painting?
A: While these nylon brushes are primarily designed for water-based media like watercolor, acrylic, and gouache, they can be used with oil paints if cleaned thoroughly with appropriate solvents immediately after use. However, natural bristle brushes are generally recommended for oils.
