Excellent quality from Japan
You can really feel the quality difference compared to cheaper brands. The brush tip holds its shape well even after extensive use. A staple in my art kit.

Great blending capabilities
I love how well the colors blend together when used with a water brush. The fine tip is also very precise for detailing. Only wish the set had more dark shades.

Good for illustration
I use these primarily for botanical illustrations. The control offered by the fine tip combined with the wash effects of the brush tip is fantastic.

Perfect for beginners!
These pens are incredibly easy to use. The soft tip allows for beautiful thick and thin strokes without much pressure. Great for practicing hand lettering.

Best purchase for my daughter
Bought this for my daughter who is learning calligraphy. She finds them very forgiving and fun to use. The dual tips mean she doesn't need to switch pens constantly.

Smooth and vibrant
The ink flow is consistent and the colors are vibrant right out of the pen. No skipping or bleeding issues on my sketchbook. Highly recommend for journaling.
Q: What is the difference between the soft tip and the fine tip?
A: The soft brush tip is flexible and creates variable line widths based on pressure, ideal for calligraphy. The fine tip is firm and provides a consistent thin line for outlining and details.
Q: How many colors are available in this series?
A: The MS7700 series typically comes in various sets ranging from 6 to 60 colors. Please check the specific product listing for the exact count in the set you are viewing.
Q: Are these pens refillable?
A: No, the Kuretake MS7700 pens are not designed to be refilled. They are disposable once the ink runs out.
Q: Can I use these on regular printer paper?
A: While you can use them on printer paper, we recommend using thicker watercolor or mixed media paper to prevent bleeding and buckling due to the water-based ink.
Q: Is the ink permanent once dry?
A: The ink is water-soluble even after drying. If you need waterproof results, you should scan your artwork or use a fixative spray, though this may alter the color slightly.
