Beautiful craftsmanship
I bought this for my meditation studio. The raw finish gives it an authentic, earthy look. The cowhide is tight and produces a very clear, deep sound when struck gently.

Authentic and powerful
As a practitioner of Taoist arts, finding genuine equipment is hard. This drum exceeds expectations. The yellow cowhide has a unique texture and the tone carries beautifully across the room.

Solid traditional drum
Very good quality for the price. The wood grain is beautiful. I deducted one star only because the shipping took a bit longer than estimated, but the product itself is flawless.

Exceeded my expectations
The attention to detail on the rim and the hide tension is excellent. It came with a nice beater as well. Highly recommended for serious practitioners or collectors.

Great sound, heavy item
The acoustic quality is top-notch. Just be aware that it is heavier than expected due to the solid wood frame. Definitely a two-person job to move it around.
Q: What is the return policy if the tone isn't what I expected?
A: We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original packaging. Please note that due to the nature of natural materials, slight variations in tone and appearance are normal and not considered defects.
Q: Is the Chun wood treated with any varnish?
A: No, the frame features a raw, natural finish to preserve the acoustic properties of the wood and maintain traditional authenticity.
Q: Does this drum come with a stand or wall mount?
A: No, this listing includes the drum and one wooden beater. Stands and mounts are sold separately to allow for custom setup preferences.
Q: Can this drum be used outdoors for ceremonies?
A: While it can be used outdoors temporarily, we recommend bringing it inside after use. Prolonged exposure to rain, direct sun, or extreme temperature changes can damage the natural cowhide and wood.
Q: How do I maintain the raw cowhide finish?
A: Keep the drum in a climate-controlled environment away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity. You can lightly dust it with a soft cloth. Avoid using chemical polishes on the raw hide.
