Solid construction
The nickel silver mountings look professional, and the ebony frog feels authentic. It doesn't have the projection of a pernambuco bow, but for Brazilwood, it punches above its weight class.

Perfect for beginners
My daughter just started learning double bass, and this bow is perfect for her. It's not too heavy, and the case provided is sturdy enough for school transport. Highly recommend.

Decent but needs rehairing soon
The bow itself is fine, but the hair seemed a bit sparse out of the box. After a month of daily practice, I had to get it rehaired. Once rehaired, it plays much better.

Surprised by the quality
I was skeptical about ordering a bow online, but this exceeded my expectations. The Brazilwood has a nice finish, and the screw mechanism works smoothly. Great backup bow to keep in the case.

Excellent value for a student bow
I bought this for my high school orchestra student. The balance is surprisingly good for the price point, and the horsehair grips the strings well. It produces a warm tone without being too scratchy.
