Exceeded expectations
I was hesitant about ordering online, but this viola arrived perfectly set up. The ebony fingerboard is smooth, and the spruce top has a lovely grain pattern.

Rich and resonant
The SONG brand has really delivered here. The 15-inch size feels comfortable, and the sound carries well in larger halls without becoming shrill.

Perfect for period pieces
If you play baroque repertoire, this is an excellent choice. The response is quick, and the thicker sides add a depth to the lower register that I haven't heard in other instruments at this price point.

Great value for a 15 inch
Solid construction and beautiful finish. The 6x6 string setup took a little getting used to, but the tonal range is impressive once you adjust your playing style.

Stunning Baroque Tone

Beautiful instrument
The craftsmanship is detailed and the varnish looks very professional. It required a minor bridge adjustment upon arrival, but otherwise ready to play immediately.
