Beautiful instrument, minor setup tweak needed
The viola itself is breathtaking. The wood grain is exactly as pictured. I had to adjust the bridge slightly to get the action exactly how I like it, but once set up, it plays like a dream. Very responsive across all registers.

Stunning tone and beautiful craftsmanship
I upgraded from a factory student model to this handcrafted viola, and the difference is night and day. The tiger stripe pattern is gorgeous, but more importantly, the sound is warm, rich, and projects beautifully in our chamber group. The setup was perfect right out of the case.

Exceeded my expectations
I was hesitant to buy an instrument online without trying it first, but the detailed photos and description gave me confidence. It arrived well-packaged and sounded amazing immediately. The case is sturdy and the shoulder rest fits perfectly.

Great sound, heavy case
The viola sounds fantastic with a very complex overtone series. My only minor complaint is that the hard case is quite heavy, which matters when carrying it to rehearsals daily. However, the protection it offers is top-notch.

Excellent value for a solid wood instrument
As a teacher, I recommend this model to my advanced students frequently. The solid spruce top and flamed maple back provide a maturity of sound that usually costs much more. The included accessory kit is surprisingly high quality, especially the bow.

Perfect for intermediate to advanced players
I've been playing for fifteen years and this is my third viola. The resonance on the C-string is incredible, which is often a weak point on smaller instruments. The oil varnish gives it a very authentic feel compared to spirit varnishes.
