The brass feels very heavy and durable. Since it requires welding, make sure you hire a licensed plumber. Once installed, it works flawlessly.

Solid performance
Been using it for three months now. The adjustment knob is stiff at first but loosens up with use. Very reliable mixing.
Q: How often does the thermostatic cartridge need replacement?
A: Under normal residential use with filtered water, the cartridge typically lasts 5 to 7 years. Hard water areas may require more frequent maintenance.
Q: Does this valve require soldering or can it be threaded?
A: This specific model is designed for welding (sweat) connections only. We do offer a threaded version in a separate listing if that better suits your needs.
Q: Does this come with a warranty?
A: Yes, this product includes a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Q: What is the maximum temperature this valve can handle on the inlet side?
A: The valve can handle hot water inlet temperatures up to 90°C (194°F), while regulating the output to your set limit between 35°C and 65°C.
Q: Is this compatible with PEX piping systems?
A: Yes, it can be connected to PEX systems using appropriate brass transition fittings that are sweated onto the valve ends before connecting to the PEX.
