Sturdy and reliable
Great build quality. The suction cup holds it firmly to the desk. Only minor issue is that it takes a few extra cranks for very soft charcoal.
Q: What is the best way to clean the internal mechanism?
A: We recommend using the included cleaning brush to remove shavings after every few uses. For deep cleaning, you can detach the crank housing gently.
Q: Is the blade replaceable if it gets dull?
A: Yes, the steel blade is replaceable. Replacement blades are available separately through our official store or authorized retailers.
Q: How do I change the point adjustment setting?
A: There is a dial on the side of the sharpener. Simply rotate it to your desired setting, ranging from fine points for detail work to blunt points for shading.
Q: Can this sharpener handle oversized charcoal pencils?
A: Yes, the Miya Zero Art Special is designed with a wider opening specifically to accommodate standard and oversized charcoal and sketch pencils.
