Great quality, needs practice

Good value for a 12-color set

The tubes are a decent size and last a long time since you only need a small amount. The blue and red shades are particularly beautiful. Took off one star because the cap on the yellow tube was slightly loose upon arrival.

A: Absolutely. These oil-based pigments are designed to be mixable on a palette, allowing you to create a wide spectrum of custom colors before applying them to your ceramic piece.

Q: Do these paints require a clear glaze over them before firing?

A: Yes, these are underglaze pigments. For the best glossy finish and to seal the design, a transparent clear glaze should be applied over the dried paint before the final high-fire.

Q: How do I clean my brushes after using this oil paint?

A: Since these are oil-based, water alone will not clean them effectively. Please use an appropriate brush cleaner or turpentine substitute designed for oil paints to clean your tools immediately after use.

Q: Is this product safe for items that will hold food, like plates?

A: The pigment itself is non-toxic, but food safety ultimately depends on the final clear glaze used over it and the proper firing process. Please ensure your over-glaze is certified food-safe.

Q: What happens if I fire this at a lower temperature, say 1000°C?

A: Firing below the recommended range (1200°C-1300°C) may result in the colors not fully maturing or bonding correctly with the clay, potentially leading to dullness or flaking. We advise following the specific temperature guidelines.
