Best sensor in this price range

Replaced an older brand with this JianDa RenKe model. The response time is noticeably faster, especially when humidity changes rapidly. Highly recommend for HVAC control systems.

Solid industrial grade sensor

Very robust build quality. It has been running outdoors in the rain for three months without any issues thanks to the IP65 rating. The only minor downside is the cable length could be slightly longer.

Reliable data logging source

We feed this into a data logger for compliance reporting. The signal is clean with very little noise. Would give 5 stars if it came with a mounting bracket included, but overall very satisfied.

Easy installation

A: No, while it has an IP65 rating which protects against water jets and heavy rain, it is not designed for continuous submersion underwater. Please ensure it is mounted in a location where it will not be fully submerged.

Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended for the 4-20mA signal?

A: For a standard 24V power supply, you can typically run the cable up to 500 meters without significant signal loss, depending on the wire gauge and total loop resistance. Always calculate your specific loop load.

Q: Does this unit require regular calibration?

A: The sensor is factory calibrated. For critical industrial applications, we recommend verifying accuracy once a year. If drift is detected, the unit can be recalibrated using the internal trim pots or via software if your model supports digital adjustment.

Q: Is the housing resistant to UV degradation for outdoor use?

A: Yes, the ABS housing is treated with UV stabilizers to prevent cracking or fading when exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, making it suitable for long-term outdoor installation.
