Good for fine details

Professional grade tools

I have tried many brands, but Sakura remains the best. The cap seals tightly so the pens don't dry out even if left uncapped for a minute or two.

Great quality, slightly pricey

The quality is undeniable. The gray is very neutral and works well over pencil sketches. Only giving 4 stars because they are a bit more expensive than standard black liners.

A: While they work best on standard illustration board or Bristol paper, they can be used on glossy surfaces. However, drying time may be longer, and smudging is possible until fully cured.

Q: How do I prevent the tips from fraying?

A: To prevent fraying, avoid pressing down hard while drawing and try not to drag the pen sideways across rough paper textures. Store them horizontally when not in use.

Q: What is the difference between the Gray Series and the standard Black Pigma Micron?

A: The Gray Series uses the same high-quality pigment ink formula but in a cool gray shade, designed specifically for shading, under-drawing, or creating softer contrasts compared to the stark black of the standard series.

Q: Are these pens safe to use with alcohol-based markers?

A: Yes, the pigment ink is waterproof and generally resistant to alcohol markers, but we recommend testing on a scrap piece of paper first as some aggressive solvents may affect the line.
