Reliable for outdoor sketching
I take these everywhere for urban sketching. They are durable and the ink holds up well against sunlight and occasional rain. Would give 5 stars if the set included a 003 size.

Perfect for my architecture sketches
These pens are incredibly consistent. The line width never varies, which is crucial for my technical drawings. They also handle watercolor washes beautifully without bleeding.

Great quality, but caps can be tight
The pen performance is flawless, producing crisp lines every time. My only minor complaint is that the caps can be a bit difficult to remove quickly when sketching on the go.

Waterproof claim is accurate
I tested these with heavy watercolor application, and the ink did not smudge or fade at all. Highly recommended for mixed media artists.

Excellent starter set
As someone new to fine liner drawing, this set provided everything I needed. The different nib sizes help me understand line weight variation easily.

Industry standard for a reason
I have used Microns for over a decade. This set has all the essential sizes I need for inking manga panels. The ink is deep black and dries instantly.
Q: Do these pens work well on dark paper?
A: Since these pens contain black ink, they are best suited for light-colored paper. For dark paper, we recommend our Gelly Roll white gel pens for better visibility.
Q: What is the difference between the 01 and 02 nib sizes?
A: The 01 nib produces a line width of approximately 0.25mm, while the 02 nib creates a slightly thicker line of about 0.30mm. Both are excellent for detailing.
Q: Are these pens safe to use on photo paper?
A: Yes, the Pigma Micron ink is acid-free and archival quality, making it safe for use on photo paper and other delicate surfaces without causing damage over time.
Q: How long does the ink take to dry completely?
A: The ink typically dries within seconds on standard paper. However, for maximum water resistance, we suggest waiting a full minute before applying watercolor or markers over the ink.
Q: Can I refill these pens once the ink runs out?
A: No, Sakura Pigma Micron pens are designed as disposable units. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled according to local regulations.
