Great ink, careful with pressure
The ink quality is superb and dries very quickly. My only advice is to use a light hand; pressing too hard can damage the fine tip over time. Otherwise, an excellent tool for any artist.

Perfect for intricate Zentangle patterns
These pens are absolutely fantastic for detailed work. The ink flows smoothly without skipping, and the line width remains consistent throughout the entire drawing. I love that they are truly waterproof; I can add watercolor washes over my sketches without any smudging.

Best technical pen for the price
I have tried many brands, but Sakura consistently delivers the best quality. The tip is durable and doesn't fray easily even after hours of use. Great for architectural sketching and comic inking.

A: Yes, these pens work well on photo paper. However, we recommend testing on a small corner first to ensure the ink adheres properly to the specific coating of your photo paper.
Q: Do these pens bleed through thin notebook paper?
A: Generally, no. The pigment ink is formulated to minimize bleed-through. However, on extremely thin or low-quality paper, some show-through may occur. We recommend using paper with at least 80gsm weight for best results.
Q: How long does the ink take to dry completely?
A: The ink is quick-drying and usually sets within a few seconds on standard paper. For complete drying before applying watercolors or markers, we suggest waiting about 30 seconds to be safe.
Q: Can I refill these pens once they run out of ink?
A: No, SAKURA Black Technical Pens are designed as disposable units to maintain consistent ink flow and tip integrity. They are not refillable.
