Great quality, slightly pricey

Archival quality ink
Love that the pigment ink is water-resistant. I can go over my outlines with watercolors without worrying about the lines smudging. Highly recommended for mixed media artists.

Best gray liner on the market
The gray shade is neutral and not too blue or brown. It scans very well for digital coloring later. The grip is comfortable for long sessions.

Solid choice for professionals

Consistent flow every time

Perfect for intricate manga lines
The 0.1mm tip is incredibly precise and doesn't fray even after hours of drawing. The gray ink is perfect for sketching before inking, and the red stands out beautifully without bleeding through standard marker paper.
Q: What is the difference between the PIN-200 and the PIN-300 models?
A: The PIN-200 is our standard fineliner with a simple cylindrical barrel, ideal for general drawing and manga. The PIN-300 typically features a metal clip and a slightly different grip texture, often preferred for architectural drafting. Both share the same high-quality ink and tip technology.
Q: Are these pens suitable for use on glossy photo paper?
A: While they work best on porous papers like Bristol or marker paper, the pigment ink does adhere reasonably well to semi-gloss surfaces. However, we recommend testing on a scrap piece first as drying time may increase.
Q: Can I refill these pens once they run out of ink?
A: No, the UNI PIN-200 series is designed as a disposable fineliner system to ensure consistent ink flow and hygiene. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled or replaced.
Q: Is the red ink opaque enough to cover pencil marks completely?
A: The red pigment ink is vibrant and offers good coverage over standard graphite pencil marks. For very dark or soft pencil grades (like 6B), you might see a faint shadow underneath, but it generally covers well.
Q: Does the 0.1mm tip break easily if pressed hard?
A: The UNI PIN-200 features a durable stainless steel tip designed to withstand normal drawing pressure. However, like all fineliners, excessive force or dropping the pen tip-first can damage the point. We recommend a light touch for best results.
