Smooth and consistent flow

Best brown liners on the market
I have tried many brands, but Kuretake remains my favorite. The pigment density is perfect, and they don't clog easily even if left uncapped for a few minutes accidentally.

Perfect for watercolor outlining

Great quality, slightly pricey
The build quality is excellent and the lines are very crisp. My only hesitation is the price point compared to other brands, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of reliability.

A: The Fine (F) tip produces a line width of approximately 0.3mm to 0.4mm, depending on the pressure applied and the texture of the paper.
Q: Can these be refilled once the ink runs out?
A: No, the Kuretake Outline Pen series is designed as a disposable unit. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled according to local regulations.
Q: Are these pens truly waterproof when used with alcohol markers?
A: Yes, the pigment ink is designed to be waterproof and resistant to most alcohol-based markers once fully dry. We recommend waiting 30 seconds after drawing before coloring over.
Q: Is the brown color warm-toned or cool-toned?
A: The brown ink has a warm, sepia-like tone that resembles traditional iron-gall ink, making it excellent for vintage-style sketches.
