Beginner Friendly
As someone just starting with technical drawing, this set gave me all the variety I needed to learn different line weights. Very forgiving and easy to control.

Perfect for Manga Art
These pens are absolutely essential for my comic work. The line consistency is incredible, and the ink never bleeds through my paper. Highly recommend for any serious artist.

Solid performance
Very good pens overall. The cap seals tightly so the ink doesn't dry out quickly. Lost one star only because shipping took a bit longer than expected.

True Archival Quality
I use these for architectural sketches that need to last. The waterproof feature works perfectly even when I go over lines with watercolor washes.

Smooth and Reliable
Never had a scratchy tip or a clogged pen in this batch. They glide smoothly across Bristol board. Best investment for my illustration kit.

Great set, wish it had more mid-sizes
The quality is top-notch as expected from Sakura. My only critique is that I wish the set included a 0.4 size, but the 03 and 05 cover most of my needs.
Q: What is the difference between the 01 and 005 sizes?
A: The 005 has a 0.20mm tip for extremely fine details, while the 01 has a 0.25mm tip, offering a slightly bolder but still very fine line.
Q: Can I use alcohol markers over these lines without smudging?
A: Absolutely. The pigment ink is fully waterproof and alcohol-resistant once dry, making it perfect for mixed media workflows.
Q: Are these pens safe to use on photos or glossy paper?
A: Yes, the Pigma Micron tips are durable enough for smooth surfaces like photos and glossy cardstock without skipping.
Q: How long does the ink last once the pen is opened?
A: If the cap is sealed tightly after every use, the ink can last for several months to a year depending on frequency of use.
Q: Are these pens refillable?
A: No, the Sakura Pigma Micron pens are designed as disposable units to ensure consistent ink flow and tip integrity throughout their lifespan.
