Perfect for my architecture sketches
These brown fineliners are exactly what I needed for my university projects. The ink flows smoothly without bleeding through standard sketchbook paper, and the waterproof feature is a lifesaver when I add watercolor washes over my line work.

Good consistency across sizes
It is rare to find a set where every single pen performs well. Usually, the finest or thickest tips are problematic, but Croma managed to make all 9 sizes consistent. The ink density is uniform, making them great for technical diagrams.

Reliable student essentials
Bought this set for my design class. The caps fit tightly so the pens don't dry out even if left uncapped for a minute or two by accident. The grip is comfortable for long drawing sessions, and the price point is very friendly for students.

Excellent for detailed anime art
The precision on the 0.1mm and 0.2mm pens is incredible for drawing hair strands and eye details in anime style. The waterproof claim holds up perfectly when I use alcohol-based markers for coloring. Highly recommended for any illustrator.

Love the sepia tone
The brown color is a warm, rich sepia that looks vintage and professional. Unlike black ink which can feel too harsh, this brown adds a softness to my illustrations. They are also truly alcohol-resistant; I tested them with marker overlays and no smudging occurred.

Great value for manga artists
I use these primarily for inking my comic pages. The variety of tip sizes allows for dynamic line weight variation. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the 0.05mm tip felt slightly scratchy on rougher paper, but on smooth bristol board, they are flawless.
Q: Do these pens work well with Copic markers or other alcohol markers?
A: Absolutely. These pens feature alcohol-resistant ink specifically formulated to prevent bleeding or smudging when layered under alcohol-based markers like Copics, making them ideal for mixed media illustration.
Q: Are these pens safe to use on photo paper or glossy surfaces?
A: Yes, the pigment ink adheres well to non-porous surfaces like glossy photo paper, plastic, and glass. However, please allow extra drying time (approx. 30-60 seconds) on glossy surfaces to prevent smearing before touching.
Q: Can I refill these pens once the ink runs out?
A: No, the Croma Micro Fineliner pens are designed as disposable units to ensure consistent ink flow and nib integrity throughout their lifespan. Once the ink is depleted, the pen should be recycled.
Q: What is the shelf life of these pens if kept sealed?
A: When stored horizontally in a cool, dry place with caps securely closed, the pens have a shelf life of approximately 24 months from the date of manufacture. Avoid extreme temperatures to maintain ink quality.
