Best purchase for my tea ceremony
I use this for my weekend tea ceremonies, and guests always admire it. The water flow is controlled and gentle. The square shape allows heat to distribute evenly. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Great pot, minor lid fit issue initially

A true work of art
The 'Ox Lid' design is unique and very traditional. Holding this pot feels substantial and warm. It arrived safely packaged in a wooden box. Definitely worth the investment for tea enthusiasts.

Perfect size for my daily Gongfu sessions

Authentic Yixing quality
As someone who collects Zisha teapots, I can confirm this is genuine Di Cao Qing clay. The hand-molded lines are crisp, and the oxidation process was done correctly. It enhances the flavor of my aged Pu-erh significantly.

Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful clay
This square pot is absolutely stunning. The Di Cao Qing clay has a wonderful texture, and the handmade details on the ox lid are impressive. It pours smoothly without dripping. Highly recommended for serious tea drinkers.

A: Yes, every Xun Sha Ji teapot comes with a signed certificate from the artisan and a high-quality gift box, making it perfect for gifting or collecting.
Q: What is the difference between Di Cao Qing and other Zisha clays?
A: Di Cao Qing is known for its distinctive blue-green hue after firing and its excellent breathability. It is particularly famous for enhancing the mellow taste of aged teas and developing a rich patina over time.
Q: Does the square shape make it difficult to clean inside?
A: Not at all. The interior corners are smoothed during the handmade process. We recommend using a soft bamboo brush or just rinsing with hot water after each use. Never use abrasive scrubbers.
Q: Is this teapot suitable for brewing green tea?
A: While this Di Cao Qing clay is excellent for Pu-erh and Oolong, it can be used for green tea if you dedicate the pot solely to that type. However, due to the high heat retention of Zisha clay, lower temperature greens might benefit more from porcelain or glass.
Q: How do I season this teapot before first use?
A: Rinse the pot with warm water, then boil it in a pot of clean water with some tea leaves of the same type you plan to brew for about 30 minutes. Let it cool naturally in the water, then rinse and air dry. Avoid using soap or detergents.
