Great upgrade from glass
Switched from a glass gaiwan to this Zisha set. The flavor of my Oolong has noticeably improved after a few brews.

Perfect for solo tea sessions
The size is ideal for one person. The clay feels authentic and the heat retention is excellent without burning my fingers.

Compact and elegant
Takes up very little space on my desk. The hand-held grip is very comfortable and secure.

Good value for money
Solid teapot for the price. The lid fits snugly. Shipping took a bit longer than expected but the product quality makes up for it.

Beautiful craftsmanship
Lovely lotus design. It arrived well-packaged. Just note that it requires seasoning before the first use as per traditional methods.
Q: What is the exact diameter of the opening?
A: The opening diameter is approximately 6.5 cm, making it easy to insert tea leaves and clean.
Q: How do I season this before first use?
A: Simply rinse it with boiling water two or three times. Some users prefer to boil it in plain water for 10 minutes to remove any dust.
Q: Can I use this on a direct flame?
A: No, this gaiwan is designed for brewing with hot water poured from a kettle, not for direct heating on a stove or flame.
Q: Does it come with a matching tea cup?
A: No, this listing is for the single-person gaiwan/teapot only. Cups are sold separately.
Q: Is this teapot glazed or unglazed?
A: This is an unglazed Zisha teapot, which allows the clay to breathe and enhance the tea flavor over time.
