Good quality, slightly stiff at first
The craftsmanship is excellent. It was a bit stiff out of the package, but after a few uses and rinses, it softened up nicely. Highly recommend for anyone with a loose-fitting lid.

A: The earth brown dye is natural and stable. While it may develop a patina from tea exposure which many users find desirable, it should not fade significantly with normal washing.
Q: Can I cut this to make it shorter for a small pot?
A: Yes, you can trim the excess length. Since the ends are hand-tied, please ensure you re-knot or seal the cut end slightly to prevent fraying over time.
Q: Is this suitable for glass teapots as well?
A: Absolutely! As long as your glass teapot has a knob or handle on the lid that the loop can fit around, it will work perfectly to prevent lid slippage.
Q: How do I clean this rope?
A: Simply rinse it with warm water after use. If it gets stained by tea oils, you can gently wash it with a drop of mild dish soap and let it air dry completely before storing.
Q: Will this rope melt if it touches boiling water?
A: No, the natural hemp fiber is heat resistant and designed to withstand temperatures encountered during tea brewing. However, we recommend avoiding direct contact with open flames.
