Great sound, heavy case
The drum itself is fantastic with a beautiful sustain. My only minor complaint is that the carrying case is a bit bulky, but that's because it offers great protection. Highly recommend for students.

Professional quality at a student price
I've played handpans before, and this steel tongue drum holds its own. The carbon steel construction gives it a warm, deep tone that doesn't sound tinny at all. Very impressed with the flagship store quality.

Excellent beginner instrument
As a complete novice, I was worried about hitting wrong notes. This drum is tuned perfectly so everything sounds harmonious. The included mallets are soft enough not to damage the surface but firm enough to produce a rich sound.

Relaxing and well-made
Bought this for stress relief after work. It is soothing to play, and the finish is gorgeous. The laser etching on the notes makes it very easy to see which note you are hitting.

Solid choice for learning
Good volume and projection without being too loud for apartment living. The study guide included was helpful for understanding basic rhythms. Would have given 5 stars if it came with an extra pair of mallets.
