Perfect for my daily practice
The thickness is exactly what I needed. It stops the ink from bleeding through to my desk, and the texture feels great under the brush. Highly recommend for beginners.

Great size for large characters
The 60x90 size gives me plenty of room for large script practice. It rolls up easily for storage. Took off one star because the grey color was slightly darker than the photo.

Professional feel at a student price
As an instructor, I recommended this to all my students. It mimics the feel of professional mats found in art supply stores but costs much less. The 10% off deal made it even better.

Best upgrade for my studio
Upgraded from a thin cotton pad to this felt mat. The difference in brush control is noticeable immediately. The edges are stitched nicely so no loose threads.

Excellent for Chinese Painting
I use this for both calligraphy and light wash painting. The surface holds up well even when quite wet. The non-slip bottom is a game changer; it doesn't move around at all.

Good quality, slight smell at first
Overall a solid mat. The felt is dense and absorbs water well. There was a faint wool smell when I first opened it, but it aired out after a day. Great value for the price.
Q: Can I wash this in a washing machine?
A: We strongly recommend hand washing only. Machine washing can damage the felt structure and cause the edges to fray. Please rinse gently with cold water and lay flat to dry.
Q: Is the bottom side sticky or just rubberized?
A: It features a rubberized non-slip coating rather than an adhesive. This keeps the mat securely in place on smooth desks while still allowing you to lift and reposition it easily.
Q: Does this mat work well with very wet brush strokes?
A: Yes, the 5mm high-density felt is designed to absorb significant moisture without letting ink pool or bleed through to your desk surface.
