Authentic Beijing sound
If you are looking for that traditional Chinese cymbal crash, this is it. The hammering marks are visible and add to the character. Very responsive to light touches.

Great splash effect
Using the 12-inch as a splash cymbal in my kit. It has a quick decay and a very sharp attack. Not ideal for soft jazz, but perfect for rock and fusion accents.

Stunning visual and audio quality
These look as good as they sound. The gold finish is vibrant and the resonant bronze material provides a rich, complex overtone series. Highly recommended for serious players.

Beautiful tone, slightly heavy
The resonance on these gongs is fantastic. They sustain well and have a lovely golden timbre. My only note is that they are a bit heavier than expected for younger students.

Excellent projection for our school band
We bought the 15-inch pair for our middle school orchestra. The sound is incredibly bright and cuts through the ensemble perfectly without being harsh. Great value for pure bronze.
Q: How should I clean these gold gongs to maintain the finish?
A: We recommend using a dry, soft microfiber cloth after each use. Avoid chemical polishes or water, as they can damage the natural patina and resonant properties of the bronze.
Q: Are these cymbals sold individually or as a pair?
A: These Seagull cymbals are typically sold as a matched pair to ensure consistent tone and weight balance.
Q: Can these be used in a standard drum kit setup?
A: Yes, absolutely. While designed with traditional Beijing styles in mind, their mounting holes fit standard cymbal stands, making them versatile for modern drum kits.
Q: What is the difference between the 12, 15, and 17 inch models?
A: The primary difference is pitch and volume. The 12-inch offers a higher, quicker splash; the 15-inch provides a balanced crash; and the 17-inch delivers a deeper, longer sustain with more volume.
Q: Do they come with a warranty against cracking?
A: Yes, all our pure bronze cymbals come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in material and workmanship, including accidental cracking under normal use.
