Sturdy but needs breaking in
Great quality steel that holds an edge well. The handle was a bit rough at first, but after sanding it lightly and applying some oil, it feels fantastic. Excellent for tight spaces between vegetables.

Good for detailed work
Works wonderfully for transplanting seedlings. The narrow blade minimizes root disturbance. I took off one star only because the wood darkened quickly when wet, but that is expected with natural wood.

Best small shovel I've owned
I use this daily for planting flowers and weeding. It is much stronger than the cheap aluminum ones I bought before. The pointed tip makes it easy to penetrate hard clay soil.
