Perfect replacement for my Ender 3

Good quality, slightly stiff wires

The heating cartridge works great and heats up quickly. The only minor issue is that the silicone wires are a bit stiff, making cable management slightly tricky in tight spaces.

Exact specs as described

Works but connector needed crimping

The components themselves are fine, but the connector on the thermistor was loose. I had to re-crimp it to ensure a solid connection. Once fixed, it works well.

A: Yes, this kit supports both 12V and 24V systems, so it is fully compatible with your Prusa i3 MK3.

Q: Does the thermistor come pre-calibrated?

A: The thermistor follows the standard NTC 3950 curve. You should select the 'Generic 100K' or 'EPCOS' setting in your firmware for best results; no manual calibration curve is usually needed.

Q: Can I use this with PLA filament?

A: Absolutely. This heater provides more than enough power for PLA, which typically prints between 190°C and 220°C. It will heat up faster than lower-wattage cartridges.

Q: Are the wires heat resistant enough for direct contact with the hotend?

A: Yes, the wires are insulated with high-temperature silicone rated well above typical hotend operating temperatures. However, we recommend routing them away from direct contact with the heater block if possible.

Q: What is the maximum temperature this cartridge can reach?

A: While the cartridge itself can reach very high temperatures, the safe operating limit depends on your hotend design. Typically, it supports up to 300°C safely for standard printing materials.
