Works well, instructions could be clearer
The belts themselves are fantastic and restored the function of my old sewing machine. The only downside is that the installation guide was a bit vague for someone who has never done this before, but I figured it out with some online videos.

Excellent value for a complete set
Getting both the rubber and leather options in one pack is great. I used the leather belt for smoother operation on my treadle machine. The quality feels authentic to the era of the machine.

Good quality, slight smell initially
The belts are well-made and seem durable. There was a strong rubber smell when I first opened the package, but it aired out after a day. The installation was straightforward with the included instructions.

Sturdy and reliable
I've been using this belt for three months now on a heavy-duty vintage machine, and there is no sign of wear. The tension is perfect, and the stitching is even again. A must-buy for vintage machine owners.

Perfect fit for my 1960s machine
I was worried this wouldn't fit my old Butterfly brand machine, but it slipped right on. The leather belt has just the right amount of grip, and the rubber one is flexible without being brittle. My grandmother's machine runs like new again.

Saved my favorite heirloom
My foot-pedal machine hadn't worked in years because the original belt snapped. This complete set had everything I needed. The universal sizing worked perfectly for my vintage model. Highly recommend for restoration projects.
Q: Will this belt fit a Singer 201 model?
A: While labeled as universal for vintage foot-pedal machines, fit can vary slightly by specific model year. Many customers have successfully used this on Singer 201s, but we recommend measuring your old belt length before purchasing to ensure the best fit.
Q: What is the difference between the rubber and leather belt included?
A: The rubber belt offers high friction and is ideal for standard electric motor conversions or high-speed pedaling. The leather belt provides a smoother, quieter operation and is traditionally preferred for pure treadle or hand-crank machines to reduce slippage under heavy loads.
Q: Is this compatible with modern electronic sewing machines?
A: No, this set is specifically designed for vintage mechanical machines that use a foot pedal or treadle system. Modern electronic machines use internal drive systems or different belt specifications that are not compatible with this product.
Q: Do I need any special tools to install these belts?
A: No special tools are required. You typically only need a screwdriver to remove the side panel or bottom plate of your sewing machine to access the wheel and motor pulley for replacement.
Q: How long is the belt if I need to cut it to size?
A: The belts come in a continuous loop designed to fit most standard vintage frames without cutting. However, if your machine is non-standard, the material can be carefully trimmed and joined by a professional repair technician, though we advise against DIY cutting for optimal performance.
