Perfect for beginners!

A: This machine uses standard household sewing machine needles, specifically system 130/705 H. We recommend using size 90/14 for general purpose sewing and size 100/16 for heavier fabrics.

Q: Can this machine sew through denim or heavy canvas?

A: Yes, the BUTTERFLY 2219A can handle medium-weight denim and canvas for tasks like hemming jeans or making tote bags. However, it is not recommended for very thick industrial-grade materials or leather.

Q: How do I clean the flat shuttle area?

A: To clean the flat shuttle, remove the needle plate by unscrewing the two screws provided in your accessory kit. Use the small brush included to remove lint and dust from the race and feed dogs.

Q: Does this model come with a walking foot?

A: The standard package includes essential presser feet such as a zipper foot, buttonhole foot, and blind hem foot. A walking foot is sold separately but is compatible with this low-shank machine.
