Compact and effective
Small form factor fits perfectly in my tight enclosure. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wire could be a bit longer, but that's a minor issue.

Perfect for my Arduino rain alarm
This sensor works exactly as described. The PH2.0 connector made it very easy to plug into my expansion board without soldering. It detects water instantly and the signal is stable.

Robust and reliable

Great for school projects

Good value but needs calibration
Great little module for the price. I had to adjust the threshold slightly in my code to avoid false positives from humidity, but once set up, it works great for my plant watering system.
Q: Is this module waterproof or just water-resistant?
A: The sensing area is designed to be in contact with water, but the electronic components on the back of the PCB should be kept dry or coated with conformal coating for long-term durability in humid environments.
Q: What happens if the sensor is left in saltwater?
A: While it will detect saltwater effectively, salt accelerates corrosion on the copper traces. We recommend rinsing the sensor with fresh water after use in saltwater applications to extend its lifespan.
Q: Does this work with 3.3V logic boards like the ESP32?
A: Yes, the module operates comfortably within the 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with ESP32, ESP8266, and standard 5V Arduino boards.
Q: Can this sensor measure the exact depth of the water in millimeters?
A: No, this is a digital switch sensor. It indicates whether water is present at the level of the exposed traces or not, rather than providing a continuous analog depth measurement.
Q: Is the cable detachable from the module?
