Beginner friendly

Reliable data output

Perfect for Arduino Projects

Great for plant monitoring

Good value, easy integration
Used this to automate my desk lamp based on ambient light. It responds quickly to changes. Only minor issue is the pins are slightly close together, but manageable with careful soldering.

Solid component for education
Bought a batch for our student workshop. Most worked perfectly out of the box. One unit had a cold solder joint, but that's expected in bulk orders. Overall great for teaching I2C protocols.

A: No, the bare PCB module is not waterproof. If you plan to use it outdoors, you must enclose it in a waterproof housing with a transparent window for the sensor.
Q: Does this module come with headers pre-soldered?
A: No, the module typically arrives without headers soldered to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder your own pin headers.
Q: Can I use this directly with a 5V Arduino without a logic level converter?
A: Yes, the GY-302 module operates comfortably within the 3.3V to 5V range, so it can be connected directly to a 5V Arduino board.
Q: Which Arduino library do you recommend for this?
A: The 'BH1750' library by claws is widely used and highly recommended. It is available directly through the Arduino Library Manager.
