Does the job efficiently
Simple plug-and-play for basic automation. The delay is minimal which is good for security lights. Deducted one star because the LED indicator on the board is quite bright at night.

Compact and robust
Great little board. The screw terminals are sturdy enough for repeated testing. Using it in an industrial control box for indicator lights. No issues with the 24V supply.

Perfect for my 24V garden lighting project
This module worked exactly as described. I connected it to my 24V LED strip system, and the sensitivity adjustment is very precise. It turns on reliably when the sun goes down.

Reliable no-light sensing
I use this to control a water pump that only runs at night to avoid evaporation. The 'no-light' mode is perfect for this application. Very stable performance over two months.

Good value, clear instructions needed
The hardware quality is solid and the relay clicks loudly which confirms it's working. I wish there was a printed diagram on the back for wiring, but once figured out, it works great.

Works but sensitive to shadows
It functions well, but you have to be careful where you mount it. A passing cloud or a shadow from a tree can trigger it if the potentiometer is set too high. Just needs fine-tuning.
Q: Can this module handle AC loads directly?
A: Yes, the relay contacts are rated for up to 250VAC, so it can switch AC loads provided the control voltage input remains 24V DC.
Q: What happens if the power flickers?
A: The module will reset immediately upon power loss. When power returns, it will read the current light level and activate the relay accordingly based on the setting.
Q: Can I reverse the logic to turn off when it gets dark?
A: This specific model is designed for 'No-Light Sensing' (turns on when dark). To achieve the opposite effect, you would need to wire your load to the Normally Closed (NC) terminal instead of the Normally Open (NO) terminal.
Q: Is the sensitivity adjustable for twilight conditions?
A: Absolutely. There is a blue potentiometer on the board that allows you to fine-tune the light threshold from bright daylight to deep twilight.
Q: Does this come with a waterproof enclosure?
A: No, this is a bare PCB module. For outdoor use, you must install it inside a suitable IP-rated waterproof junction box.
