Reliable and fast shipping
Used this to monitor a conveyor belt speed. The optocoupler isolation is a nice feature for protecting the microcontroller. Highly recommended.

Good value, clear instructions needed
The sensor itself is high quality and responsive. I deducted one star because the pinout wasn't clearly marked on the board, but I figured it out with a multimeter.

Solid component
We use these in our workshop for various motor testing rigs. They are durable and handle continuous operation well. Just ensure you have a pull-up resistor if your MCU doesn't have internal ones enabled.

Great for university projects
Bought this for my final year control systems project. It detects the interrupter disk perfectly without any debouncing issues in software.

Perfect for RPM projects
This module worked flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The signal is clean and stable even at high motor speeds. Great for building a tachometer.

Exactly as described
Compact size fits easily into tight enclosures. The LED indicators make debugging very easy. Will buy again for future builds.
Q: Does this module come with the interrupter disk or just the sensor?
A: This listing includes only the sensor module. The interrupter disk (slotted wheel) needs to be attached to your motor shaft separately.
Q: What is the maximum RPM this sensor can accurately measure?
A: Given the fast response time, it can theoretically handle tens of thousands of RPM depending on the number of slots in your interrupter disk. For a standard 10-slot disk, it works well up to 20,000+ RPM.
Q: Can I use this directly with a 3.3V ESP32?
A: Yes, the module operates within the 3.3V to 5V range, so it is fully compatible with 3.3V logic boards like the ESP32 without needing a level shifter.
Q: Do I need to solder headers to this board?
A: The module typically comes with pins unsoldered to allow for flexible mounting, but some batches may include pre-soldered headers. Please check the specific product images or description variations.
Q: Is the output normally high or normally low?
A: The output is normally High when the slot is open (no obstruction) and goes Low when the slot is blocked by an object.
