Great sensor, documentation could be better
The hardware quality is excellent and the readings are stable. I had to dig into the datasheet to get the UART baud rate configured correctly, but once set up, it performs well.

Solid performance for attitude estimation
We used this for a balance robot project. The gyro drift is minimal, and the accelerometer calibration was straightforward. Lost one star because the pin headers were slightly loose on arrival.

Compact and reliable
Small form factor makes it easy to integrate into tight spaces. The 6-axis data is consistent and the module handles vibration better than my previous MPU6050.
Q: Does this module come with example code for Arduino?
A: Yes, we provide a link to a GitHub repository with Arduino and Python example sketches in the product manual PDF included in the package.
Q: Is the mounting hole pattern standard for 22mm sensors?
A: The mounting holes are spaced 20mm apart diagonally, which fits many standard sensor mounts, but you may need a custom bracket for specific enclosures.
Q: Can this operate at 5V logic levels directly?
A: The module includes an onboard voltage regulator and level shifters, so it is safe to connect directly to 5V microcontrollers like the Arduino Uno.
Q: Does it support interrupt outputs for motion detection?
A: Yes, the BMI160 chip supports configurable interrupts for motion detection, which are broken out to a dedicated pin on the module header.
Q: What is the default baud rate for the serial output?
A: The default baud rate is set to 115200 bps, but it can be reconfigured via command strings sent over the UART interface.
