Easy to integrate with Arduino
Connected this directly to my microcontroller project. The NPN output mode worked perfectly with my logic level shifter. Very stable signal, no false triggers so far.

Perfect for my conveyor belt project
These sensors are incredibly reliable. I set them up to count items on a small DIY conveyor belt, and the detection is instant. The range adjustment potentiometer makes it easy to fine-tune for different object sizes.

Solid build quality
Using these in a light industrial environment. They have held up well against dust and minor vibrations. The LED indicators are bright and helpful for troubleshooting alignment.

Fast response time
I needed something fast for a sorting mechanism, and the <1ms response time is no joke. It catches even small objects moving quickly without missing a beat.

Good value, clear instructions
Works exactly as described. The split pair design allows for flexible mounting. Only giving 4 stars because the wires are a bit stiff, but electrically they perform flawlessly.

Exceeded expectations
For the price, you really can't beat this performance. The 50cm range claim is accurate in optimal lighting conditions. Great addition to my home automation security gate.
Q: Can this sensor detect transparent objects like glass or clear plastic?
A: While through-beam sensors are generally better at detecting transparent objects than reflective ones, very clear glass might still allow some infrared light to pass. We recommend testing with your specific material, but it usually works well for most semi-transparent items.
Q: Can I use this outdoors in direct sunlight?
A: Direct strong sunlight can interfere with infrared sensors. If installing outdoors, we highly recommend using a shading tube or housing to block direct sun from hitting the receiver lens to ensure stable operation.
Q: What is the maximum current the output can handle directly?
A: The output transistor can typically handle up to 100mA. For driving higher current loads like large motors or bright lamps, please use the sensor output to trigger a relay or contactor instead of connecting directly.
Q: How do I adjust the detection distance?
A: There is a small blue potentiometer on the receiver module. Use a small screwdriver to turn it clockwise to increase sensitivity (range) or counter-clockwise to decrease it until the indicator light behaves as desired.
Q: Is the output voltage the same as the input voltage?
A: No, this is a switching module. The output is an open collector (NPN or PNP) that switches the load. You must connect your load (like a PLC input or relay) between the output wire and the power supply rail appropriate for your chosen mode.
