Good range and accuracy
Deployed five units in a warehouse corridor. The 12-meter range is accurate. One star off because the pinout diagram on the silkscreen was slightly faint, but easily solved with a multimeter.

Reliable for presence detection
Used this for a bathroom occupancy sensor. Unlike infrared, this radar sees through plastic covers and detects breathing-level motion. Very happy with the stability over the last 3 months of testing.

Great module, needs careful calibration
The hardware quality is solid and industrial grade as described. You do need to spend time tuning the sensitivity registers via serial command to avoid false positives from ceiling fans, but once set, it works perfectly.

Solved my 'lights off while reading' issue
Standard motion sensors would turn off my lights while I was reading still in my chair. This 24G radar detects the micro-movements of turning pages or breathing. Highly recommended for living spaces.

Excellent sensitivity for micro-movements
I integrated this into a smart office lighting system. It successfully detects typing and slight hand movements where standard PIR sensors failed. The UART output makes configuration very straightforward.

Perfect for IoT projects
Compact size and low power consumption make it ideal for battery-assisted IoT nodes. The documentation provided by the seller helped me get the serial protocol working within an hour.
Q: Is this module suitable for outdoor use in rain?
A: The module itself is not waterproof. For outdoor use, it must be housed in an IP65 or higher rated enclosure. The radar signals will pass through the plastic casing of the enclosure.
Q: Does it come with example code for Arduino or ESP32?
A: Yes, we provide a download link in the user manual for library examples compatible with Arduino, ESP32, and STM32 platforms to help you get started quickly.
Q: What is the minimum detectable movement?
A: The sensor is capable of detecting micro-movements such as chest expansion from breathing or slight finger tapping, typically in the range of millimeters, depending on the distance and sensitivity settings.
Q: What is the baud rate for the UART interface?
A: The default baud rate is 115200 bps, 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit. This can be changed via specific configuration commands if your project requires a different speed.
Q: Can this sensor detect movement through a thin plastic enclosure?
A: Yes, 24GHz millimeter-wave radar can penetrate non-metallic materials like plastic, wood, and glass, allowing you to hide the module inside an enclosure without affecting performance.
