Perfect for my Arduino security project
This sensor is incredibly easy to set up. The sensitivity adjustment pot works smoothly, allowing me to fine-tune it so it doesn't trigger from minor ambient noise but catches actual bumps instantly.

Does exactly what it says
Solid build quality. The LED indicators are bright enough to see status at a glance but not blinding. Deducting one star only because the mounting holes are slightly tight for M3 screws.

Reliable and sensitive
I bought five of these for a school project on earthquake simulation. All five worked out of the box with consistent sensitivity levels. Highly recommended for educational kits.

Good value, clear instructions needed
The module works great once you understand the NO/NC jumper settings. It would be nice if the package included a printed pinout diagram, but the online docs are sufficient.

Great integration with ESP32
Connected this to an ESP32 for a smart home vibration monitor. The digital output is clean with no bouncing issues, saving me time on software debouncing.
Q: Is the output signal 5V tolerant if I use a 3.3V microcontroller?
A: The module operates on 3.3V to 5V. If powered by 3.3V, the output high level will be 3.3V, which is safe for 3.3V logic microcontrollers. If powered by 5V, the output will be 5V.
Q: Can I use this outdoors in the rain?
A: The PCB itself is not waterproof or weather-sealed. For outdoor use, you must house the module in a waterproof enclosure while ensuring the sensing element can still detect vibrations.
Q: What is the difference between Normally Open and Normally Closed modes?
A: In Normally Open (NO) mode, the circuit closes (outputs signal) only when vibration is detected. In Normally Closed (NC) mode, the circuit is closed by default and opens (stops signal) upon vibration detection. You can select this via the jumper cap.
Q: Can this sensor detect very slight vibrations like a mouse walking nearby?
A: Yes, by turning the onboard potentiometer to maximum sensitivity, it can detect very subtle vibrations. However, you may need to calibrate it to avoid false triggers from environmental noise.
Q: Does this come with headers pre-soldered?
A: No, the pin headers are included in the package but are not pre-soldered to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder them yourself.
