Good value, easy to wire
Very easy to integrate into a breadboard setup. The pins are clearly labeled. I deducted one star only because the plastic housing feels slightly light, but it functions perfectly.

Bulk buy for our workshop
We bought ten of these for our student workshop. All units tested working out of the box. They withstand frequent handling by students quite well. Highly recommended for education.

Reliable sensor for gaming controllers
I used this to build a custom retro gaming controller. The dual-axis precision is surprisingly good for this price point. No dead zones detected in the center position.

Perfect for DIY Robotics Projects
This joystick module works flawlessly with my Arduino robot car project. The analog values are smooth and the button click is tactile and responsive. Great build quality for the price.

Solid performance
Using this for a manual override on my drone controller. The range of motion is consistent. Just make sure you calibrate the min/max values in your code for best results.

Great for beginners
As someone new to electronics, I found this very forgiving to work with. Plenty of tutorials online use this exact form factor. It arrived quickly and was well packaged.
Q: What is the resistance tolerance of the potentiometers inside?
A: The internal potentiometers are typically 10k Ohms with a standard tolerance of +/- 20%. For most hobbyist and prototyping applications, this provides sufficient precision for smooth control.
Q: Is the button momentary or does it latch?
A: The integrated push-button is momentary. It sends a signal only while being pressed down and returns to the open state immediately upon release, which is standard for game controller inputs.
Q: Are there any example code libraries available for this?
A: Since this uses standard analog and digital pins, it does not require a specific proprietary library. You can read the X and Y axes using the standard 'analogRead()' function and the button with 'digitalRead()' in Arduino IDE or similar platforms.
Q: Can I use this directly with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP32?
A: Yes, absolutely. This module operates within a voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, making it fully compatible with 3.3V logic systems like the ESP32, as well as 5V systems like the standard Arduino Uno.
Q: Does this module come with jumper wires included?
A: No, the package includes the joystick module and a pin header strip that you can solder on. Jumper wires are sold separately to allow you to choose the length and color you need for your specific project.
