Solid performance in factory settings
Using these to monitor volatile organic compounds on the assembly line. They detect changes quickly. Only minor issue is the warm-up time, but that is expected for this sensor type.

Good value, requires calibration
The sensor works well out of the box, but we had to perform a custom calibration curve for our specific environment. Once calibrated, the data accuracy is impressive for the price point.

Works but sensitive to humidity
The gas detection is accurate, but we noticed some drift when humidity levels spiked above 80%. We added a separate humidity compensation algorithm which solved the problem.

Easy integration with IoT platforms

Excellent stability for industrial use
We integrated these modules into our HVAC monitoring systems. The semiconductor process provides consistent readings even in fluctuating temperatures. Very reliable for long-term deployment.
Q: What is the expected lifespan of the sensing element?
A: Under normal operating conditions within the specified temperature and gas concentration ranges, the sensing element typically lasts between 2 to 3 years before recalibration or replacement is recommended.
Q: Does this module come with a digital interface like I2C or UART?
A: The standard AGS02MA module primarily outputs an analog voltage signal. However, some carrier boards may include an ADC to convert this to digital. Please check the specific SKU details for integrated communication protocols.
Q: Can this sensor detect Carbon Monoxide (CO)?
A: The AGS02MA is optimized for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, and alcohol. While it may show a reaction to CO, it is not specifically calibrated for precise Carbon Monoxide measurement. We recommend our electrochemical series for dedicated CO detection.
Q: Is there a heating element inside that requires high current?
A: Yes, as a semiconductor sensor, it contains a micro-heater. The typical power consumption is around 800mW during operation. Ensure your power supply can handle the initial inrush current during the warm-up phase.
Q: Do you provide a calibration certificate with each unit?
A: Standard units come with a factory test report verifying functionality. Individual NIST-traceable calibration certificates are available as an add-on service for an additional fee. Please contact sales for bulk orders requiring certification.
